NO WALLS COULD DIVIDE

I built a wall towering up to the sky,
I stuck you inside, never heard your cry.

I’d like to go back to when you were small
Please take my hand, I won’t let you fall.

There’s a place in the wall where there is no gate
So don’t you worry, it’s never too late.

I’ll show you the tree that you used to climb
And we can roll in the grass, like we did in old time.

It’s not always greener, on the other side
But there’s sea shells and starfish on the low morning tide.

Bring your suitcase to stay, or bring the children to play
Home is where the heart is, and that’s where you are,
Always at home in my heart, and never afar.
